Generic Inquiries

The Generic Inquiry in Acumatica is a reporting tool that has an easy-to-use web-based interface and giving you the ability to extract any data from the database.

Generic Inquiries can be viewed, reused, and modified for a variety of purposes.

They can be exported to Excel or formatted for OData. The OData formatting option exposes data from Acumatica ERP to OData clients, such as Microsoft Power BI and Excel. Generic Inquiries serve as a base for dashboard widgets and pivot tables, and as an entry point for data entry forms.

With Acumatica, you can build pivot tables based on the data from generic inquiries. You can use pivot tables to reorganize and summarise data in a Generic Inquiry to view it from different perspectives.

Side panels can be added to any Generic Inquiry to show the details of specific records, all on the same screen. Side panels can include reports, printed forms, inquiries and dashboards.
