Acumatica’s New AI Assistant

Acumatica’s new AI Assistant introduces a more natural way for users to interact with ERP data and retrieve information directly within the platform.

Acumatica introduced the AI Assistant as an early access feature in 2026 R1, building on the AI capabilities first introduced through AI Studio in earlier releases.

Rather than relying on complex navigation or manually searching through screens and reports, users can ask questions conversationally and surface information more quickly using their existing Acumatica data.

One of the key advantages of the new functionality is the focus on security and data control. The AI Assistant works within your Acumatica environment and uses existing permissions and access controls, helping businesses make use of AI functionality without exposing business data to public AI models.

To demonstrate some of the new functionality now available, we’ve put together two short walkthroughs.

The first walkthrough provides an overview of the AI Assistant and some of the key features now available within Acumatica, including conversational access to ERP data and operational insights.

The second walkthrough demonstrates how to expose a Generic Inquiry to the AI Assistant, allowing businesses to make their own datasets available for AI-driven queries and responses.
