The latest version of the Acumatica integration to Smartsheet is now available on GitHub.
The Smartsheet integration provides a visual scheduling solution for Acumatica. Salespeople, project workers, and accountants work in Acumatica while project managers plan projects, schedule tasks, assign dependencies, and schedule resources in Smartsheet.
What’s New in Version 2?
Acumatica customers and partners provided feedback that they incorporated into version 2 of the integration. Improvements include:
Template mapping: Each Acumatica project can be linked to a Smartsheet templates so you can integrate with Gannt charts and a host of other visualisations. The project preferences screen allows you map Acumatica fields to Smartsheet template fields.
Employees: Acumatica employees are automatically added as Smartsheet users/resources, so project managers can assign them to Smartsheet tasks.
Error Checking: sync enhancements allow you to prevent errors by checking for deleted projects as well as several other usability improvements.

Acumatica never stop innovating. As they roll out user-defined-fields for project screens, you will have the ability to utilise these fields to populate various templates. They also plan to add checks to prevent assigning fields to sync disabled field in Smartsheet templates and match business day configuration in Smartsheet. Additional suggestions include adding the sub-tasks from Acumatica project templates to Acumatica projects.
