The Tascoli Conference 2014 in Nice
A little over a month ago our team made their way down to the beautiful Nice in the South of France to attend the TASCOLI Staff Conference. We had not held one for a few years so everyone was keen to reconnect as a team.
Two nights were spent in a chateau and golf estate in the foothills of the Alps. Chateau de la Begude was peaceful and tranquil, offering our team a chance to relax and enjoy some good food. With only three days together, the agenda consisted of team meetings, leisure time in Nice and good French cuisine.
We had the opportunity to jointly review our progress. We discussed our current portfolio of products and provided feedback on how well they were working. The key outcomes of our discussions were to:
- Continue leading with Acumatica. This system is by far the best mid-range ERP system on the market at the moment. It is a few years ahead of the others and has a number of new markets and processes to explore.
- Create a larger base of support for Sage 300/ Accpac. With the lack of development and an increase in the 3rd party solutions we will help our clients get the most out of their systems.
- Help QuickBooks Enterprise users migrate to Acumatica Entrepreneur. With the demise of QuickBooks Enterprise in the UK we will be working on a smooth migration to our Acumatica Entrepreneur offer for smaller businesses.
We were also able to review our own performance and considered the ways in which our service and client support can be improved. Our focus was on the needs of the user in the client offices. A number of ideas were discussed, one of which is to get support turnaround time within one hour!
We considered the ways in which client needs will change in the future with the changes in business processes and in working practices brought on by technology advances.
Our last sunny morning was spent touring the old town of Nice on Segways!
